Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue specializes in saving animals in most critical need who are facing unnecessary euthanasia in our local shelters. We provide them a safe, loving and enriching environment as we work to provide every resource necessary for them to be fully rehabilitated and ultimately become adoptable. From there, we work to find them their most perfect forever homes. While in our care, we allow our animals the opportunity to decompress, and we provide all medical and behavioral resources necessary to help them heal physically, mentally and emotionally, without any time constraints. We believe that good emotional health allows pets the ability to effectively function, learn and adapt in everyday life. Our goal is not just to save, shelter and care for homeless animals; we also want to provide our community with highly adoptable pets that will be successful in a loving, supportive and committed home.
We are a group of animal advocates dedicated to making a dent in the number of euthanized pets in Maricopa County. We recognize that lack of space and resources is one of the top reasons that dogs and cats are euthanized every day in our county. Because our animal-loving hearts can't bear to live with that status quo, we want to be a solution to the problem.
Currently, we are a foster-based rescue. That means that each of our animals is placed in a foster home until they are adopted. Without those loving people who open their homes to temporarily house and care for one of our pets, we can't save any of them. Fosters are critical to our mission. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit our foster page.
To us, "rescuing" a dog or cat doesn't just mean pulling it from a shelter and getting it adopted. Instead, we take in those animals facing euthanasia because of their extensive medical or behavioral needs. We work hard to provide our animals all the resources they need - from full veterinary care, diagnostics, surgeries, and specialists to behavior modification training and post-adoption support.
We believe that rescuing means going above and beyond to develop specialized plans and courses of action that will make our dogs and cats be the best addition to their forever family.
We used to be called Two Chihuahuas Rescue. It was a name that was near and dear to our founder's heart. After all, her whole rescue journey started with her first two babies: two tiny chihuahuas. However, in June 2022, two years after our inception, we opted to change our name to better reflect the work that we do and to better provide for all the animals in our care. We have always been committed to saving all breeds in critical need, and we wanted a name the both made a statement and expressed our two core beliefs: that all breeds deserve to be saved and that every animal, no matter how critical, sick, or injured, deserves a chance. We will forever take the ones that fall to the very bottom because we will always believe that, even though they require more resources, they, too, are so worth saving.
So here's to doing more, saving more, and truly loving them all.
We are in the middle of phase one renovations for our canine rehabilitation sanctuary. To learn more about the project and the impact we can make, together, go to lovethemALLrescue.org/sanctuary.
