  There is no doubt that Beyoncé has had a hard life. Her story is told in the toll it has had on her body. It was that story that stole our hearts the moment we saw her picture and KNEW that she needed us. The part we didn’t know was how much we needed her! Beyoncé brightens a room the moment she walks in. Having a bad day? It is impossible not to smile when you are in her presence. 

Beyoncé is not the traditional definition of beautiful. When we welcomed her into the rescue she had some bumps, countless calluses, baggy breasts from being bred, cropped ears, possible jaw injury, and was very emaciated. Our hearts broke with the neglect and suffering she had experienced in her life. Beyoncé's body was broken, but her spirit wasn’t. Beyoncé, or “B” for short has the sweetest soul! All she wants is to give and get love.

X-rays determined that she had suffered an injury to her jaw much earlier in her life. Thankfully, it is not causing her any pain. It does make it so she is most comfortable letting her big tongue hang out of her mouth. B thinks that just makes it easier to give you kisses! It is part of what makes every person she meets fall madly in love with her. 

Beyoncé has a long road to recovery but is making remarkable progress. She is on a strict diet and has already gained 10lbs since we rescued her! She is a big girl, but don’t let B’s size fool you, she is truly a gentle giant. She is now healthy enough to have surgery to remove the bumps (masses), clean and remove a few bad teeth, and spay. We would love to see her in a home of her very own to recover!

This special girl deserves to finally have home where trips to the backyard are fun, instead of her whole life. It is time for Beyoncé to have soft beds to sleep on, regular meals, lots of snacks, and to be given the unconditional love that she so freely gives everyone she meets.
