A few weeks ago, my eight four-month-old siblings, half-brother, mom and I were thrilled when we saw new visitors come to see us. We came running out from under the trailer to see if they brought any water or treats.
Little did we know, those visitors were actually there to rescue us. (Be sure to watch the video below!)
They brought us to a place they call the "sanctuary". Here, we are getting all the love, play time, food, treats, and fresh, cold water our [big] little hearts desire. We've been playing lots, have been to a place they call "the vet", and we've been told we're going to find the best furever homes we could possibly imagine...once we're cleared from some sicknesses we had from being born in a dirt yard. Boy do we like being rescued!
All of this has been great, BUT it sounds like our new friends took us in very unexpectedly. Even though they were not yet prepared to have dogs in the sanctuary, they couldn't say no when they heard we had no water and were living outside. Thankfully, they saved us anyway. They put us in a makeshift space in the sanctuary to at least get us safe, inside and properly taken care of.
Even though we love it here, sometimes it gets a little warm. We don't want to complain (because this is far better than where we came from), but we've been hearing that summer is almost here. It's supposed to get a lot hotter. We also heard that soon there will be many more fur friends staying here in this sanctuary while they, too, get all fixed up. Saving more friends will be fun, but...I think we all need some help in a really big way...
Our rescuers weren't expecting some of the 10 air conditioning units to break down, which is why it's getting so warm in here. If you can believe it, roughly six new units and additional repairs our rescuers need to make will cost over $50,000 for them to do it up right for us and all the friends we hope will live here too.
We offered up our own toys and treats to help, but they need a lot more than what we have.
Can you be our hero?
We need your help today because the heat is coming fast. If we can quickly raise the money we need, our rescuers tell us we won’t have to be hot too much longer.
So here I am, with the cutest puppy face I can muster, asking you to help us raise $50,000 by June 1st...before it starts getting really hot. If everyone who receives this email donates $40 right now, we could reach our goal. Can we count you in? Do you know anyone else who can help too?
My family and I wouldn't be safe without you supporting our rescuers thus far. Our gratitude for saving us is endless. If you can contribute to us staying cool in the coming weeks, months, and decades at this sanctuary, you would help save so many more lives. If you're able to donate, we would really like to thank you in person. We would love to invite you to come play with us (and maybe even take one of us home...wink, wink)!
We know our rescuers can’t do this alone. Our treats and toys just aren't enough. Maybe you can click here to share some of what you have too? And maybe you can forward this email to a few of your friends? It would mean a lot to a lot of us. Thank you for being here for us when we need you most! You really are the best!
With lots of slobbery kisses,
KAYLEIGH (one of the Irish 11)
We need to raise $50,000 for new A/C units before it gets REALLY hot!
Another “pinch me” moment today picturing all the pups in their suites ✨ To be part of something incredible in the making, go to our sanctuary page.
With 125 lives saved, and a sanctuary underway, it's safe to say it was a beautiful 2022! Cheers to an even greater 2023!
