Seven, 7-month old puppies were found abandoned on the streets in horrible condition. They were picked up by animal control and taken to the local shelter. Soon after arrival, they found themselves scheduled for euthanasia due to all of them having sarcoptic mange — a highly contagious skin infection transferable to both humans and dogs, yet treatable with medications and time. We knew these seven wondrous souls deserved a chance at life and needed our help to heal. After being saved from euthanasia, these Seven Wonders pups were kept in isolation at Heidi’s Village, where they received the intensive medical treatments they desperately needed. After two months, our young puppies are now fully recovered and ready to experience a life full of love and joy.

Zara and her sister, Zoey, were found as strays on the streets of Phoenix at only four months old. With no vaccinations on board, they sadly contracted Parvovirus. They were taken to the county shelter where they were both at risk to be euthanized. We received a plea to help them, and we just couldn't say no.
Because Parvo is an often deadly virus, both girls were immediately hospitalized and needed emergency care. Thankfully, the girls were quickly on the up, feeling better, and discharged after just two days. Talk about fighters! At just four months old, these two girls survived the streets, the shelter's euthanasia list and a vicious virus!
Zara LOVES playing with other dogs, and in between play bursts, you'll find her snoozing away in her crate. She’s so smart and has been working on socialization (she loves kids!), potty training and sleeping through the night. We would love to see Zara in a home with an active family who can continue to work on basic training and make sure she gets the exercise and activity she needs for a pup her age.
Zara's adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, vaccines, spay and microchip. Apply below to meet this beautiful girl. She'll have you wrapped around her little paws in no time!

Taylor is the last of her litter! She is so eager to find her forever home, just like all of her siblings!
While these Pup Stars may not be able to carry much of a tune, they certainly still know how to
steal the show!
Good Samaritans took in mama Adele after they found her pregnant and wandering an industrial park. While awaiting her intake appointment at the county shelter, mama gave birth to 11 beautiful babies in the finder's home. After no owner was found, they were then transferred to the shelter where they had difficulty finding foster placement due to the pet overpopulation crisis we are facing here in Phoenix.
One day, LTA's founder was at the shelter with her daughter while saving another dog who was scheduled for euthanasia. The shelter staff asked to show them this adorable family who was desperately in need of rescue. Our founder's daughter laid eyes on mama and those [then] three-week-old pups, and that was that. Two days later, all 12 precious lives were safe with us here at LTA.
Like any pop star, these pups put on quite a show with their adorable antics. We could watch them playfully pounce and roll around on their little round bellies all day long. And bias aside, these Pup Stars have the perfect personalities -- all thanks to their mama Adele who is sweet as pie, dog-friendly and a total dream girl. The entire family plays nicely (with added puppy flair, of course) with people, children, and other dogs. These 12 precious lives would fit into any amazing home looking to help them become the best lifelong companions we know they can be.
Each Pup Star's adoption fee includes their completed veterinary exams and pending microchips, spay/neuters and complete vaccine schedules. We know if they learn young, you will have a lifetime with a well-behaved dog! The Pupstars would love active homes with backyards (unless you are active and in a condo or apartment).

Clara was found as an injured stray at only 4-months old. Her tail was broken, her back legs were weak and she was left incontinent–plus she was incredibly malnourished. She was taken to the county shelter and set to be euthanized due to her medical issues and injuries likely caused by severe trauma she had endured. We knew we had to save this precious little girl, get her whatever medical care she needed and give her the opportunity to heal and experience a real life of love.
With intense physical therapy and a dedicated, loving foster, Clara has shown herself to be a brave girl who is as loving as she is resilient! Her back legs have been regaining strength, while she has put on much-needed weight. Her entire body wiggles back and forth when she sees her people, and she absolutely loves to cuddle and play.
Clara is crate-trained, walks well on a leash and does well with people and children of all ages. She knows to go potty outside but has some leakage due to partial incontinence that is best managed with diapers.
Clara enjoys walks, playing with toys, chasing birds and cats and cuddles with her favorite people. She can be vocal if left all alone at home but a doggy friend to keep her company makes all the difference to her! Ultimately, what Clara really hopes to find is a family that will shower her with love, spoil her with toys and let her romp + roll in the grass, forever cherished + adored.
Clara knows that her sweet disposition and charming underbite more than make up for the extra TLC our special girl will need from her forever family! Clara’s adoption fee includes completed veterinary exams, vaccines, microchip and spay. Apply to meet this sweet soul, and we promise she'll have you wrapped around her finger in no time!
Adoption fee: $350
