We cannot thank you enough for being an integral part of the work we do. Without you, so many lives would be lost. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.
We have created this portal to provide a space where you can come to seek advice, help, resources, let us know when you need more food, supplies, a vet check and more. As we have grown and expanded our network of fosters, it has been harder to effectively keep up with daily texts, emails, messages and more - and the last thing we want is for you to feel like we've dropped a ball. Please use as much or as little of this portal as you need, and please feel like you can always reach out to any of us if you need anything more. Again, thank you…we really can't say it enough.
You can now place all your foster care orders in one spot! Pickups are available at the Sanctuary, and with at least 7 days’ notice, we can often arrange alternate pickup locations in Laveen or Queen Creek.
Please give us at least 3 days’ notice for all orders. We’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but availability is not guaranteed.
If you’re traveling and need help with your foster, we can assist. Some fosters already arrange for their sitters to care for their foster dog too — we just need a quick form signed and can add them to our Google Chat if needed.
If that’s not possible, we’ll work on placing the dog with another foster or have them stay with our staff at the Sanctuary. Please try to give us at least 2 weeks’ notice so we can plan ahead.
Final arrangements are typically confirmed a few days before, due to the ever-changing nature of rescue.
You know them best—help us show them off! Fill out the adoption bio form with all the fun, unique details that make your foster shine. We want honest, positive bios that help them stand out on adoption sites like Find a Pet and Rescue Me.
Great photos are key! Natural light, eye-level shots, and soulful eye contact make all the difference.

If it is during the night and we don't answer the first call, call again right away. Emergency numbers are pinned in your foster's chat.
Most primary care exams are at the Sanctuary Clinic, located at 12002 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ, door 7. For specialty care or emergency care you will be referred elsewhere.
Appointment Guidelines:
• Please arrive on time for all appointments.
• If you need to cancel, give us as much notice as possible—ideally 24 hours in advance.

You're a hero in their story. Thank you for fostering with us! 🌟
Yes, absolutely! We always recommend a 14 day separation period as it can take this long for your foster dog to show symptoms of a potentially contagious illness. This separation period is also an excellent way for your new foster dog to decompress.
Vaccinated dogs are protected against some contagious diseases but not all. We recommend ensuring your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations, including bordetella.
Please keep your new foster dog separated from your resident pets for 14-days unless otherwise instructed by LTA's Medical Team.
🏠 Set Up a Designated Quarantine Area
Location: Choose a quiet, enclosed space (like a spare room, bathroom, or laundry area) where the dog can stay comfortably and separately.
Sanitization: Use easy-to-clean bedding and materials.
Supplies: Provide separate bowls, toys, bedding, and cleaning items just for the quarantined dog.
🚫 Limit Contact
No other pets: Prevent all contact with other animals until the dog has completed quarantine and is cleared by a vet.
👀 Monitor Health + Behavior Daily
Watch for any signs of illness, including:
📲 Report symptoms in Google Chat or call immediately if it's an emergency.
🧼 Practice Good Hygiene
🧸 Stress & Enrichment
Give chew toys or soft enrichment items to keep the dog calm and occupied.
🐾 Surgery Prep for Your Foster Dog
We’ll confirm the surgery location and drop-off time with you directly.
Night Before Surgery
💡 Pro Tip: If your foster will have stitches for a few weeks, give them a bath 1–2 days before surgery (unless told otherwise). You’ll thank us later!
What to Expect After Surgery
🔍 What to Watch for After Surgery
Your foster will receive discharge instructions from the surgeon—always follow those first. But in general, here are some common things to keep an eye on during recovery:
🚨 Call us or your vet if you notice:
🛑 Do NOT allow your foster to:
When in doubt, reach out. We’re here to support both you and your foster through a smooth recovery.
The honest answer: we don’t always know.
Because we take in many medical and behavioral cases, most of our dogs need time to heal and adjust. On average, a dog stays with us about 3 months, though some are adopted sooner and others take longer.
Our biggest ask is that fosters commit to their dog until adoption. These dogs have already endured so much before coming into our care—what they need now is consistency, safety, and love to help them settle and thrive.
You truly become their safe place, and that makes all the difference.
We cover all essential costs, including:
If you need to purchase any of these items yourself, just send us a photo of your receipt for reimbursement.
You're welcome to provide extras like toys or treats at your own expense—but please do not give any rawhide products, as they can pose serious health risks.
You can submit a request to schedule a vet check or follow up exam when it's almost time for your foster to be seen again. If you are concerned something is medically wrong with the pet in your care, please email medical@lovethemALLrescue.org If it is an emergency please call us immediately.

Thanks for helping your foster shine!
Our Adoption Process — Let’s Find the Perfect Match! 🐾❤️
Here’s how it usually goes:
With so many tails wagging for their forever homes, our amazing fosters play a big part in this journey. We’ll send you the most promising applications, and we ask that you reach out to those hopeful adopters as soon as you can — quick replies can make all the difference! After you’ve connected, just give Carrie a shout so we can move forward with the adoption adventure.
If at any point it doesn’t feel like a perfect fit, no worries! We (and our fosters) have the right to pause or end the process. We only say “yes” when everyone feels the love and knows it’s just right.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Carrie carrie@lovethemALLrescue.org
Once your foster is ready, we post them on Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, and RescueMe.org—where most adopters find their new best friends. We also share their story on our social media, but great photos, videos, and fun content from you really help us show off your foster’s personality and win hearts!
You can boost their chances by:
✨ Sharing their profile on your own social media and NextDoor
✨ Telling friends, family, and neighbors about your foster
✨ Taking them out around town sporting an “Adopt Me” bandana for extra visibility and tail wags
Please keep in mind, adoption rates across the valley are slower right now. Sometimes it can take 6+ months for a foster to find their perfect match—though some lucky pups get adopted much sooner! We want to be upfront about this so you’re prepared to love and care for your foster until their forever family comes along.
Your commitment makes all the difference, and together, we’ll find them a home full of love. 🏡💖
Hooray! This is the best part of what we do! Assuming all steps of the adoption process have been completed (see above), then all that is left is for the adopter to sign the adoption agreement and send the adoption fee. Adoption fees can be paid by check made to Love Them All Rescue or on our donate page.
Please submit vacation plans at least two weeks in advance so we have time to find the best care for your foster while you’re away. If we can’t arrange for another approved foster to watch your pup, we’ll coordinate boarding at the Sanctuary.
Important: Extended family, friends, or outside pet sitters cannot watch our fosters unless they’ve been approved and have signed the foster agreement and volunteer waiver.
Want to have someone care for your foster? Please reach out to Liz to discuss options and get everything set up safely.
We absolutely LOVE foster fails because it means your furry friend already has a loving home—with YOU!
If you’re ready to make it official, just reach out to Carrie at carrie@lovethemALLrescue.org to start the adoption process.
In specific circumstances, we may even be able to offer a reduced adoption fee.
We truly hope every foster match is a perfect fit, but sometimes things don’t go as planned — and that’s okay. Your well-being and the dog’s happiness are what matter most.
If you’ve tried everything and it still isn’t working, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll never leave you in a tough spot.
Just a heads-up: we ask for 1–2 weeks’ notice so we have enough time to find a new loving placement for your foster.
You’re never alone in this—we’re here to support you every step of the way.
If this is a medical emergency, please seek immediate care at a hospital or urgent care center. Afterward, contact one of us right away.
Please call us! Do not just post in the chat.
If the bite broke the skin, it must be reported to Animal Care and Control as required by law. We’ll work closely with you to decide the best next steps for everyone involved.
Please don’t worry — we take a thoughtful, case-by-case approach and handle each situation with care.
As a foster for us, our insurance requires you to review each of the resources and courses below. Any certificates of completion must be emailed to Liz@LoveThemAllRescue.org. By welcoming a foster dog into your care, you are confirming you have reviewed these resources.
